Qwestoffice Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Qwest Communications International, Inc. was a large United States telecommunications carrier. Qwest provided local service in 14 western and midwestern U.S. states: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The piece below was published back in 2001 for THE BUSINESS JOURNALS and talks about one of the historically significant mass complaints regarding Qwest involved allegations that the then-long-distance-only company switched local telephone service customers over to Qwest's long-distance service without their permission, an illegal practice known as slamming:
Qwest Communications International Inc. will pay a $350,000 fine to the Pennsylvania Bureau of Consumer Protection as a result of accusations that the company used deceptive advertising and slamming practices. Pennsylvania Attorney General Mike Fisher said Pennsylvania consumers were enticed to change their long-distance service to Qwest with free airline tickets or they were switched without permission, also called slamming. Qwest entered an agreement with the state to refund eligible consumers and pay the fine for investigation costs and other public protection purposes. Qwest denies any wrongdoing. Qwest is required to inform Pennsylvania's attorney general's office of any complaints received by consumers in that state during the next two years. In July 2000, Qwest paid $1.5 million to the Federal Communications Commission to resolve slamming complaints.
roger forystek says"I called these individuals to get replacement windows at my daughters house. I am managing the project but as my daughter owned the house they insisted that we both are there to talk to them when the visited. I arranged our schedule and took out time on a Saturday morning (10/20/18). No one showed up and no one even called when I had left my cell number with them. i called them and left two voice mails. Now it is Monday morning and still no call. Skip these guys as they simply don't care."
Alexandra Stephenson says"We got all of the windows in the house replaced, and one of the windows is different from the rest. The window that is different doesn’t close right, you have to pull it out from the back a little..pretty annoying. In the winter we can feel a slight draft from some of the windows as well."
Josh says"The windows work well and appear to be living up to the billing but the windows were left very dirty along with the ground outside of the new windows from material which fell down during the replacement. Unfortunately this caused my dog to get into material that it should not have causing it to get very sick. We were also finding broken glass in our front garden and drive way for several days after the install from an upstairs window which was broken when being swapped out. Good windows but the install left something to be desired."
